A selection of exemplary projects by ProM Facility

Articles and publications describe the innovative challenges faced by the mechatronic prototyping centre and the goals achieved.

ProM Facility, Trentino Sviluppo's advanced prototyping centre at Polo Meccatronica, has helped to bring the cave bear “back to life” using tomographic scanning and 3D printing technology. The project is the result of the graduation thesis of Andrea Sartori, a student at the LABA art school, carried out in collaboration with the Rovereto Civic Museum Foundation and the Valle Sabbia Archaeological Museum in Gavardo (Province of Brescia).
The aim? To combine science, design and accessibility, recreating the skull of the prehistoric animal on a 1:1 scale, for both scientific and educational purposes
3D printing plastic grippers to decrease torsional inertia and increase machine speed: this is the goal achieved by Pulsar Industry, the company offering industrial automation and factory software solutions for the food industry.
Pinze braccio robotico Prom Facility
The greater geometric freedom provided by additive manufacturing made it possible to decrease the weight of the metal frame of a pendulum ride seat. The work done by the Rovereto prototyping laboratory will become the subject of a scientific paper.
