Capabilities in the call: technologies and services offered by the 3DOP call
The call includes technical services and non-technical services. Companies can select one of the following options for a maximum duration of 8 months:
- Strand 1 for both types of services
- Strand 2 for only non-technical services
The 3DOP technical services are based on a wide range of technical solutions, covering a range of manufacturing technologies in the areas of 3D printing and automation:
- Opiliones: New cost-effective Production Unit for viable, sustainable metal 3DP appliances that are not covered by SLS.
- Element 22: Serial production of titanium components with metallurgical powder materials, experts in Titanium Injection Moulding and Additive Manufacturing.
- Guaranteed: Provision of XXL metal wire arch AM production and repair services to various industrial sectors
- TracXon: 3D printed tools and moulds with imprinted electronics
- Tecos: Demonstration & production facility
- AM Flow: Workflow automation of 3D Printed objects & parts, focusing on high mix, high volume production
- ValCun: Machines & services for 3D Printed Aluminum parts
Non-technical services include:
- Partnering on New Project Creation: advisory services that will connect applicants to funded project opportunities
- Public Funding: advisory services to interested organizations on EU and national public funding opportunities
- Private Funding: services aimed at connecting the SMEs selected in the call with relevant organizations able to leverage investments, such as venture capitalists
- Coaching and Training: services on definition of the vision, business-case planning, and roadmap creation
Recipients
The call is aimed at SMEs that want to develop/commercialize innovation by exploiting additive manufacturing and advanced production technologies. Applicants must be based in one of the eligible countries, namely:
- Regions to which the members of the 3DOP consortium belong
- Regions that have expressed interest in the project
- Third countries as per Annex I – Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1130.
For the detailed list of countries, see the text of the call. Specifically, the eligible Italian regions are the following: Trento, Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Piedmont, Molise, Campania, Puglia, Basilicata, Calabria, Sicily and Sardinia.
How to apply
To participate, it is necessary to present a solution, a new product or process, etc. that involves the innovative technologies and services developed within 3DOP. The collaboration project must start from a TRL of 6-7 to reach, at the conclusion of the test case, TRL 9.
The proposal must highlight the advantages brought in terms of efficiency, quality and sustainability of the production processes.
The 3DOP Collaboration Call is a rolling call. Applications must be submitted by filling out a form in English (insert the following link in the word “form in English” by 12:00 on February 4, 2025, and will be examined periodically in chronological order of arrival based on the “first come, first served” principle.
